The Giesen Winery
We bought our first Marlborough property - the original Dillons Pint vineyard in the Wairau Valley - in 1993, and substantially added to that in 2001. In the same year the current winery in Blenheim was built, which has already been expanded several times with the ability now to process 6500 tonnes of grapes and tank capacity of 5.5 million litres.

One of New Zealand’s most successful wine growing regions in Marlborough and it is here that Giesen Wine has been producing world class Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc since the early 1980s. It is the light, refreshing taste and vibrant finish that make Giesen’s Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc so internationally popular. Established in 1981 by brothers Theo, Alex and Marcel Giesen, we’re a proudly owned family business. All the Giesen brothers remain very involved in the business, working closely with the winemaking and vineyard team.
